Identify the Charging Problem
- Ensure your Snap Spectacles are seated correctly in the charging case or on the charging pad. The LED should light up when charging starts.
- Check if there’s any debris or dirt on the charging contacts. Dirt can interfere with proper charging.
- Try using a different charging cable or power source. Sometimes, cables and power adapters can be faulty.
Clean the Contact Points
- Use a dry cloth or lightly moistened cotton swab to clean the charging contacts on both the Snap Spectacles and the charging case or pad.
- Be gentle to avoid damaging the contact points or the surrounding areas.
Reset the Charging Case
- If your Snap Spectacles are not charging, try resetting the charging case. Look for a reset button, usually located inside the case. Press it for several seconds.
- After resetting, try placing your Spectacles back into the case to see if they begin charging.
Check the Battery Status
- Ensure that your charging case itself has power. If the LED indicators on the case do not light up when plugging into a power source, there may be an issue with the case rather than the Spectacles.
- Charge your case fully before using it to charge your Spectacles.
Software Update
- Connect your Spectacles to the Snapchat app. Sometimes, a software update can resolve charging issues.
- Follow any prompts to install updates. Ensure your device is connected to Wi-Fi for a stable download.
