Requirements Before You Start
- Ensure your Huawei Band is sufficiently charged. It should have at least 50% battery to prevent any interruptions during the update process.
- Install the Huawei Health app on your smartphone. Make sure the app is up to date. It's available on both Android and iOS platforms.
- Enable Bluetooth on your smartphone. This allows your phone to communicate with your Huawei Band.
Steps to Update Firmware
- Open the Huawei Health app on your smartphone.
- Ensure your Huawei Band is connected to your smartphone. You can check this by seeing if your band’s step count matches the one on the app.
- In the app, go to the device section. You can find this usually at the bottom of the screen marked with your band's name.
- Look for the "Firmware Update" option under the device settings. Tap on it.
- The app will check if there is a new firmware update available for your Huawei Band.
- If an update is available, you will see an option to download and install it. Follow the on-screen instructions to proceed.
- Ensure that the phone remains close to the band and maintain the Bluetooth connection throughout the update process.
- After the update is complete, your band will automatically restart.
Troubleshooting
- If the update fails, restart both your smartphone and the Huawei Band before trying again.
- Ensure that both devices are within the Bluetooth range and away from other Bluetooth devices to prevent interference.
- Try clearing the cache of the Huawei Health app and re-pairing the devices if the problem persists.
- If the firmware still won't update, consider reinstalling the Huawei Health app on your smartphone.
- For persistent issues, contacting Huawei customer support may be necessary to resolve any specific problems with your device.
