Update Insta360 One Firmware
- Ensure your Insta360 One camera is fully charged or at least has more than 50% battery before starting the firmware update process. A firmware update can take time, and you don't want the camera to power down midway.
- Download the latest firmware version from the official Insta360 website or app. Make sure to download the correct firmware version for your specific camera model.
- After downloading, copy the firmware file to the root directory of your microSD card. The file should not be placed inside any folder.
- Turn off the Insta360 One camera and insert the microSD card with the firmware file into the camera's microSD card slot.
- Power on the camera. The camera will automatically detect the firmware file and begin updating the firmware. Ensure that you do not power off or remove the microSD card while the firmware is updating.
- Once the firmware update is complete, the camera will automatically restart. You can verify the firmware update by checking the firmware version in the camera's settings menu or through the Insta360 app.
Troubleshoot Issues
- If the camera does not automatically start the update, ensure the firmware file is in the correct format and located in the root directory of the microSD card.
- Ensure the microSD card is functioning correctly. You may need to format the card or try a different card if problems persist.
- If the update fails, restart the camera and try the process again. Make sure the camera has a stable power supply during the update process.
- Contact Insta360 support if you continue to encounter problems with the firmware update. They can offer guidance on resolving specific issues related to firmware updates.
- Maintain regular backups of your settings and media on the camera. This ensures that even if there is a problem during the update, your data remains safe.
