Update Kobo Clara Software
- Charge your Kobo Clara to at least 50% battery before beginning the update process to ensure it doesn’t power off mid-update.
- Connect your Kobo Clara to a stable Wi-Fi network. Ensure the Wi-Fi is working properly to avoid any interruptions during the update.
- Tap on the "More" menu at the bottom of the screen on your Kobo home page.
- Go to "Settings" and then tap on "Device information."
- Look for the "Software Updates" option. Your device will automatically detect if there is an update available.
- If prompted, tap "Update." The Kobo Clara will download and install the update. This process may take a few minutes. Do not turn off your device during the update.
- Once the installation is complete, your device will restart. When it powers back on, the latest software should be installed.
Troubleshooting Software Update Issues
- If your Kobo Clara loses Wi-Fi connection during the update, reconnect to Wi-Fi and retry the update process.
- If the update fails to download, ensure your internet connection is stable and there is enough space on your device.
- If your device doesn't detect the update, try restarting your Kobo Clara and searching for updates again.
- If problems persist, you can perform a factory reset via "Settings." Remember that this will erase all your data, so back up any important content to your Kobo account or computer first.
- If you encounter persistent issues, visit the Kobo support website or contact their customer service for further assistance.
