Check for Updates
- Ensure your Moto 360 is fully charged or connects to the charger before starting the update. This prevents power loss during the update process.
- Make sure your Moto 360 is connected to Wi-Fi. This is necessary as updates may require a stable network connection for downloading files.
- On your Moto 360, go to the Settings menu. You can do this by swiping down from the top of your screen and tapping the settings gear icon.
- Navigate to "System" and then tap "About" at the bottom of the list.
- Tap on "System updates." Your device will check to see if there are any updates available. If an update is available, follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.
After the Update
- Once the update is complete, your Moto 360 will automatically restart. Make sure it's functioning correctly and check that all apps are working as expected.
- If prompted, update apps via the Play Store to ensure compatibility with the new OS version.
Troubleshooting Update Issues
- Restart the Device: If the update does not start or gets stuck, try restarting your Moto 360. Press and hold the power button until the device restarts.
- Clear Cache: Sometimes clearing the cache can help with update issues. Go to "Settings," then "Apps & notifications." Tap "App info" and search for "Google Play services." Tap on it, and then "Storage," and clear cache.
- Factory Reset: As a last resort, perform a factory reset. This will erase all data on your device, so be sure to back up any important information. Go to "Settings," then "System," then "Reset" and choose "Factory data reset." After resetting, set up your device again and check for updates.
- Contact Support: If none of these solutions work, it might be best to contact Motorola support for further assistance.
