Renaming Your Apple HomePod in the Home App

• Open the Home app on your iPhone or iPad. Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your HomePod.

 

• In the Home app, navigate to the room where your HomePod is located. Rooms help organize devices in the app.

 

• Press and hold the HomePod icon. This will open the settings specific to that HomePod.

 

• Scroll down through the settings until you see the "Name" option. This is where you can change the name of your HomePod.

 

• Tap on "Name" to edit it. You'll see a text field where you can input the new name for your HomePod.

 

• Enter the new name that you'd like your HomePod to have. Ensure it’s something easy to remember and distinct from other devices.

 

• Once you’ve entered the new name, tap "Done" on your keyboard. This will save the new name.

 

• Close the Home app and wait a moment. The changes will sync across your devices that are logged into the same iCloud account.
