Understand Guardian Boundary Issues
- Meta Quest Pro uses a feature called Guardian to help you stay within the safe boundaries of your play area. Sometimes, users experience issues where these boundaries do not work properly, such as not appearing, being inaccurate, or disappearing unexpectedly.

Fix Guardian Boundary Issues
- Ensure that your headset's firmware and software are up-to-date. Updates often include fixes for known issues and improve system stability. To update, connect the headset to Wi-Fi, go to Settings, and check for software updates.
- Perform a headset restart. This can resolve temporary glitches. Turn off the headset completely, wait a few moments, then power it back on.
- Re-create your Guardian boundary. Go to Settings > Guardian > Clear Guardian, and then follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new play area. Ensure the area is well-lit and free from obstacles.
- Check your play environment for changes. Remove reflective surfaces or transparent objects like glass tables, which might interfere with the headset's sensors. Ensure the area is free from clutter.
- Relocate to a different area and set up the Guardian there. Sometimes certain locations can have issues due to lighting conditions or other environmental factors.
- Inspect the headset sensors for obstructions. Wipe them gently with a microfiber cloth to ensure they are clean and free from dirt or smudges that might affect tracking.
- Disable any apps or settings that might conflict with tracking. Go to Settings and ensure there are no experimental features that might interfere with the Guardian system.
