Common Reasons for Notification Issues
- Bluetooth Connection Issues: Your watch needs a stable Bluetooth connection with your phone to receive notifications. If the connection is weak or drops frequently, notifications may not show up.
- Notification Settings: Notifications might be disabled in the TAG Heuer app or on your phone's settings. Both need to be correctly configured to allow notifications.
- App Permissions: The TAG Heuer Connected app needs proper permissions to access notifications on your phone. Without these permissions, the watch can't display alerts.
- Battery Optimization Settings: Some phones have battery optimization settings that limit notifications to save power. These settings might be blocking notifications from reaching your watch.
How to Fix Notification Issues
- Check Bluetooth Connection: Make sure that both your phone and TAG Heuer Connected are paired and connected via Bluetooth. If they disconnect often, try restarting both devices and ensure that they are within the recommended range from each other.
- Verify Notification Settings: Go to the TAG Heuer Connected app on your phone and ensure notifications are enabled. Also, check the settings on your phone to confirm that notifications are allowed for the app.
- Grant Necessary App Permissions: On your phone, go to Settings > Apps > TAG Heuer Connected, and make sure all necessary permissions, such as notification access, are enabled.
- Adjust Battery Optimization: For Android users, navigate to Settings > Battery > Battery Optimization. Find the TAG Heuer Connected app and ensure it is set to 'Not Optimized'. This ensures the app can continue to run in the background and send notifications.
- Update Software: Check for updates on both your phone and TAG Heuer Connected app. Sometimes, software updates fix known bugs or connectivity issues.
