Enable Quiet Time Feature
- Open the Ring app on your smartphone or tablet. This is the central hub for managing all Ring devices and features.
- Navigate to the menu by tapping the three lines (≡) in the top-left corner of the app.
- Select “Devices” from the menu. This will list all Ring devices associated with your account.
- Choose the specific Ring Doorbell you wish to enable quiet time for by tapping on its name.
- Look for an option labeled “Device Settings” and tap it to access further settings for your device.
- Within Device Settings, search for “Notification Settings” or “Chime Snooze.” This feature allows you to silence notifications temporarily.
Use Silent Modes
- Open the Ring app and go to your Devices list as before.
- Select your Ring Doorbell from the list to access its controls and settings.
- Find the “Mode Settings” within your Doorbell’s options. This allows you to set your Doorbell to a mode that minimizes disturbances.
- Configure modes such as “Disarmed” or “Home” depending on what best suits your need for quiet time. These modes can be customized to avoid sending alerts or recording when unnecessary.
Schedule No Notifications
- Within the Ring app, navigate to the “Devices” section and select your Doorbell.
- Enter the “Notification Settings” and find options for scheduling notifications.
- Set a schedule for times you wish to have quiet, like during nighttime or specific hours. This silences notifications coming from your Ring Doorbell during the specified period.
- Make sure to save any changes made to ensure the schedule activates as planned.
Manual Snooze for Individual Alerts
- When receiving notifications that you find undesirable in the moment, open the alert on your phone.
- Within the alert, look for an option to snooze or mute similar notifications.
- Select the duration you wish to snooze alerts for, allowing peace and quiet for that period.
