Create an IFTTT Account and Connect LIFX
- First, go to the IFTTT website or download the IFTTT app on your device.

Create a New Applet
- Go to the "Create" section on the IFTTT website or app.
- Click on "If This", then search for and select a trigger service you want to use for scheduling (e.g., "Date & Time").
Select a Trigger
- Choose a specific trigger. For scheduling, you might use "Every day at" or "Every hour", depending on how you want to schedule your LIFX bulbs.
- Configure the trigger settings (e.g., select the time you want the action to occur) and then click "Create trigger".
Set Up the Action
- After setting up the trigger, click on "Then That".
- Search for and select "LIFX" as the action service.
- Choose the specific action you want for your bulbs, such as "Turn on lights", "Change color", or "Dim lights". You can also select more advanced actions like setting specific brightness or color temperature based on your LIFX setup options.
Configure and Finish
- Set the final configurations for the chosen action, like selecting which bulbs or scenes you’d like to apply the action to.
- Review your applet to ensure everything is set correctly. Then click "Finish" to activate your applet.
Test Your Applet
- Check whether the scheduled settings work as expected. This might require waiting until the scheduled time or manually triggering the applet from the IFTTT app or website.
- If anything is not working as anticipated, revisit your applet settings to ensure everything is configured correctly, including trigger times, selected bulbs, and connected accounts.
