Your first full day with Omi

One full day of wearing Omi tells you more than a week of reading about it. Here's a simple plan for day one.

The night before

Put Omi on the dock so it starts the day charged. Open the app and check that it connects: a blue light means you're ready.

In the morning

Put Omi on the chain first thing, front facing out. Keep your phone with you, since that's where your conversations land.

During the day

Don't change anything about how you talk. Take your calls, go to your meetings, have lunch with a friend. After each conversation, Omi turns it into a Conversation with a summary, key points and action items.

At lunch, open one summary. Compare it with what you remember from that conversation. Most people notice the details they'd already lost.

Before bed

  1. 1Open Chat and ask: "What did I agree to today?"
  2. 2Check your Tasks tab and clean up anything that's already done.
  3. 3Star the conversations that mattered, so they're easy to find later.

What to expect on the free plan

The free plan transcribes and analyzes 300 minutes of conversation a month, which is about 10 minutes a day. On a full day of wearing Omi, you may go past that. Omi keeps recording, but it stops writing things up until next month.

Frequently asked questions

A conversation didn't show up. Why?

Check the light on your Omi. Blue means it's connected. If it's red, open the app and reconnect.

Do I have to start recordings myself?

No. Omi captures conversations on its own and closes each one when the talking stops.
